Mr Webber turns 100

Mr Webber cutting the cake

This week we celebrated Mr Webber’s 100th Birthday.  What an amazing achievement.

Mr Webber who is our oldest living past student had a lovely time sharing morning tea with all the students and staff.  We had many special guests attend the event including the federal representative, state and local members, our past Principal, and past students.

It was nice hearing about Mr Webber’s early life and what school was like in the early 1900s.  It is still amazing thinking about what he has seen and has experienced in his life to this day, and all the changes he is going to continue to see into his future.

A tree has been planted at the front of the school dedicated to Mr Webber’s milestone and for his support to Hamilton State School over the years.
Yesterday was truly a great experience for all present.
