Year 5/6/7 Camp Tallebudgera Beach School

We had a fantastic camp with our 5/6/7 students.  It started off very well with our school captains presenting to the 160 plus students who attended the camp about our school.  Well done Henry for creating a video to highlight our school!

We participated in many activities including: leadership games, tobogganing, canoeing, surf awareness, body surfing, science workshop, Tally challenges, fishing, tandem biking, circus acts, beach games, dance night, Burleigh Mountain walk, Don’t Forget the Lyrics evening, movie night, recreation time and morning walks to start the day.  Our students were very busy and also very tired completing all of these activities.

The students were great representatives for Hamilton State School with many positive remarks made about their participation, teamwork, positive interactions with other school students and their behaviour.  Mrs Nicholls and myself were very proud of our students.  The students activity group, the Muddies (including students from Bargara State School), won the overall points for sustainability and the 4C’s—Consideration, Common Sense, Courtesy, and Cooperation.  Also congratulations to these students who received special awards on camp:

Kortney and Bridget—For best diaries in the Muddies

Rowan, Tracy, Madison and Saloni for Top Achievements

Irina for being nominated for the Top Student in the whole Muddies group.
