Our school

Hamilton State School is a small primary school (currently 120 students) catering for students from years prep to six in supportive, multi-age classrooms. Our quality staff work together to identify and target individual students’ needs to ensure each child is moving forward in their academic and personal development.

Our school is located in an old suburban area of Brisbane, bordered by the suburbs Eagle Farm, Ascot, Hendra, and Pinkenba. Oxford Street is a quiet and secluded part of Hamilton. Visitors enter the school through our rainforest, which is yet another intriguing learning environment for the students. Our school actively promotes the Smart Moves initiative and boasts two adventure playgrounds, a ten-station fitness playground, tennis court, cricket net, sand pit, and a brand new library/technology hub.

Technology is important in our school with each air conditioned class, having its own interactive whiteboard. Our school is fortunate enough to boast a class set of wireless laptops in the new library that support student learning.
